LOS ANGELES (AP) — New details on a cyberattack against JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s computer servers this summer add to increasing doubts over the security of consumer data kept by lenders, retailers and others.

Johnson (Reuters) – Developer Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) asked Los Angeles on Monday to give it more time to lure a pro football team back to the city and start building a $1.2 billion stadium downtown. Los Angeles has been without professional football since 1994 when the Rams and the Raiders both left, to the dismay of legions of fans. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Most of the nearly 60,000 Central American children who have arrived on the U.S.-Mexico border in the last year still don’t have lawyers to represent them in immigration court, and advocates are scrambling to train volunteer attorneys to help cope with the massive caseload.
(Reuters) – Authorities in San Francisco and Los Angeles have threatened to put a brake on the popular ride-sharing services that are roiling the traditional taxi industry, accusing them of violating California state and local laws. In a letter to Sidecar Inc, a copy of which was seen by Reuters, the district attorneys said the company’s carpooling feature violated a state law restricting service providers from charging multiple people for the same ride. … …read more
(Reuters) – District attorneys of San Francisco and Los Angeles have accused ridesharing service Sidecar Inc of violating California business law and threatened an injunction on its service, the Wall Street Journal reported citing a letter sent to Sidecar and reviewed by the paper.
